Made of 100% natural palm fiber, Tula hats are naturally water resistant in addition to sustainable and environmentally friendly. Their unique overlapping layers of braided and sewn palm fibers give Tula hats the highest solar protection (UPF – Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating on the market of 50+. Rigorously tested by California Polytechnic State University, Tula was actually commended for their excellent solar protection by the University: “The brim area of these hats is excellent, in fact, we have never tested anything with 0% transmittance. Congratulations on this protection!” 

Tula’s Laurel Lattice Palm Straw Sun Hat is a versatile sun hat, one that will work great in the garden or while doing outdoor chores in the sun. This hat has a large brim along the front that leads into a very narrow brim towards the nape of the neck. Just as the name invokes, a lattice style weave is along the crown allowing for ventilation during those humid summer months. The Laurel Lattice Sun Hat also has an adjustable chin cord which prevents the hat from flying away in windy conditions or during activity.
